Good morning, Mets fans!

The Mets were unable to complete the sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday night. After two one-run wins over Pittsburgh, the Mets’ offense went cold, getting shut out in the series finale. Click here for the full game recap.

After going 4-2 during their six game homestand, the Mets won’t have to travel far as they prepare to take on the Yankees starting Friday, during the first Subway Series of the 2025 season in the Bronx.

The pitching matchups for the weekend will be Tylor Megill vs. Carlos Rodón, Griffin Canning vs. Clarke Schmidt and David Peterson vs. Max Fried. The big storyline this weekend will be Juan Soto’s returning to Yankee Stadium for the first time since leaving for Queens in the offseason. After Wednesday night’s game, Soto told reporters that he’s most looking forward to the crowd, saying he does not mind the boos.

It is shaping up to be an exciting weekend in the Bronx.
