It’s been an up-and-down year for Jack Wenninger, the 24-year-old who MMO’s Mike Mayer ranked the organization’s No. 8 prospect in an update last week. On Friday night, he was at his best. The right-hander threw five innings of scoreless, no-hit ball and struck out six in Triple-A Syracuse’s 4-3 victory over Worcester. He allowed two walks and hit a batter.
