On Friday, reporter Francys Romero reported that the 2026-27 international signing period is not expected to take place. With a lockout looming this offseason, the absence of an international signing period suggests that baseball might be delayed next season with CBA talks still very far apart.

The Mets (58-71) fell to the White Sox (67-61) 6-4 on Friday night. The game got away from New York, who led 4-0 early off RBI hits from Marcus Semien and Brett Baty and a home run from Bo Bichette. Sean Manaea cruised into the sixth inning but then gave up back-to-back-to-back home runs to quickly tie the game up. Jefry Yan blew the save in the bottom of the ninth, allowing a walk-off two-run home run to Jake Rogers.
Baseball America released their latest list of their top 10 Mets prospects, ranking Jonah Tong as the team’s top prospect and Jefferson Rojas no. 2.

The Dodgers recalled former Mets prospect Paul Gervase and optioned Emmet Sheehan. Gervase, traded to the Rays for Tyler Zuber in 2024, has a 4.86 ERA in Triple-A this year but a 2.35 ERA in four major league games. Sheehan has struggled with a 5.29 ERA this year.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts later told reporters that All-Star outfielder Andy Pages is expected to miss four to five weeks with a fractured left hand.
