Good morning, Mets fans!
The Mets placed first base prospect Ryan Clifford on the development list following his immense struggles at the plate. Clifford was one of the pieces in the trade that sent Justin Verlander back to the Astros in 2023 and he offered a ton of promise in 2024 and 2025. This season has been a different story, however, as he has just a .611 OPS in Triple-A, including a .288 OPS in his last 19 games.
