The Rays kept their season alive with a 12th inning win on Tuesday night. The Rays had early leads of 1-0 and 2-1, but the game was tied at 2-2 from the top of the fifth until the top of the 12th. The Brewers got a run in the top half of the inning on a Cooper Pratt home run. After an error allowed Junior Caminero to reach to start the bottom of the 12th, the Rays hit four straight singles to win their first World Series game since 2020.
Unfortunately for the Rays, they now have to face Jacob Misiorowski in another must-win game. Misiorowski tossed five innings of one-run ball on 78 pitches in the Brewers’ Game 1 win. The Rays have decided to go with Rasmussen on three days rest after he struggled in Game 2. Rasmussen lasted only 3 2/3 innings on Saturday when he allowed three runs. Rasmussen threw 89 pitches in that outing.
