Morning Briefing: Mets Offered Alonso Three Years, $85 Million
Good morning, Mets fans! Pat Ragazzo of Mets on SI reported on Friday night that the Mets had offered Pete Alonso a three-year, $85 million deal with lots of deferred money and opt-outs. Alonso settled on a two-year, $54 million deal, seemingly preferring to limit the amount of deferred money in his deal. He will make $30 million for the Mets this year with the chance to opt out after year one....
