Good morning, Mets fans!
On Monday, following the Dodgers’ 7-4 loss to the Brewers in Game 2 of the NLCS, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported that the Dodgers are considering benching Shohei Ohtani for Game 3.
Ohtani has been a shell of his regular self in the postseason, slashing just .150/.261/.150 with seven strikeouts in 20 at-bats.
The unicorn has been hurt for a while, having missed time in September and not playing up to his standard when on the field. The four-time MVP has no home runs since Aug. 18, and just a single RBI.
