Good morning, Mets fans! And happy Halloween!

Max Scherzer left his start in Game 3 of the World Series after just three innings due to back tightness. Scherzer attempted to warm up on the mound but motioned for the training staff after a few tosses. Jon Gray, Texas’ scheduled Game 4 starter, entered in Scherzer’s place. Scherzer wasn’t the only Ranger who left with an injury – ALCS MVP Adolis García left following his at-bat in the eighth inning due to left side tightness.

Marcus Semien‘s RBI single and Corey Seager‘s two-run homer were all the offense the Rangers’ pitching staff needed, as they held the Diamondbacks to just one run on six hits in a 3-1 victory. The Rangers now lead the series 2-1 and are 9-0 on the road this postseason. Both teams will use a bullpen game in Tuesday night’s game, which is scheduled for 8:03 p.m.
