Per Zack Meisel of The Athletic, Carlos Carrasco is headed back to the Cleveland Guardians on a minor league deal with an invitation to major league spring training. Carrasco pitched for the then-Indians from 2009-2020.

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, Adam Frazier is in agreement on a one-year deal with the Kansas City Royals. Mark Feinsand with MLB Network later elaborated saying the deal is for a guaranteed $4.5 million according to a source. He gets $2 million in 2024 with an $8.5 million mutual option for 2025 (and a $2.5 million buyout).

Per ESPN’s Jeff Passan, right-handed relief pitcher Hector Neris and the Chicago Cubs are in agreement on a one-year, $9 million contract. The contract includes an option for 2025. After 60 games, the $9 million option converts to a player option; the total max with incentives is $23.25 million.

Major League Baseball on Saturday announced that the Washington Nationals will retire their City Connect uniforms at the end of the 2024 season.

The Los Angeles Angels announced they’ve officially signed left-handed pitcher Matt Moore to a $9 million contract and he was placed on the 40-man roster. To make room on the roster, outfielder Trey Cabbage was designated for assignment by the Angels.

According to Robert Murray of FanSided, free agent pitcher Alex Wood is in agreement with the Oakland Athletics pending a physical.
