It’s been a long four months, but we can finally say that today is deGrom day for the first time since September 26, 2018!

After getting off to a good start with a 4-3 win yesterday, the Mets play their second Spring Training game today against the Houston Astros. The expected starters will be Jacob deGrom for the New York Mets and Rogelio Armenteros for the Houston Astros. The game can be viewed on WPIX at 1 p.m.

The New York Mets defeated the Atlanta Braves 4-3 yesterday afternoon. Hector Santiago got the win after pitching one scoreless inning. Walker Lockett started the game, pitching an inning and two thirds, allowing three hits, a walk, and two earned runs.

Pete Alonso hit a long home run to dead center as well as drew a walk, the first of which helped tie the game. Robinson Cano and Rymer Liriano got the other two RBI, with Cano hitting an RBI single and Liriano hitting a solo home run.
