On Saturday, president of baseball operations, David Stearns, added two to his front office as Andy Green (senior role in player development) and Kris Gross (vice president of amateur scouting) were added to roles within the organization.

Per Jeff Passan of ESPN, according to sources, Andy Green is taking a job in the New York Mets’ front office. Green was previously the bench coach for the Chicago Cubs. Further, Will Sammon of The Athletic later elaborated on Passan’s initial report saying Green will be a senior executive in charge of running player development for the Mets.

According to Joe Doyle of FSS Plus, the New York Mets are hiring Houston Astros scouting director Kris Gross to the role of vice president of amateur scouting. Gross had previously been with Houston for the last 12 years.
