The Captain David Wright and slugger Jay Bruce both continued their rehab assignments Dunedin, Florida as the Port St. Lucie Mets visited the Dunedin Blue Jays.

Wright appeared in his fifth game since beginning his rehab assignment, and for Bruce, this was his fourth.

Wright flew out to center field on a 1-1 pitch in his first at bat.

Bruce, hitting behind Wright, skied one into right field, but it didn’t leave the yard and landed in Rodrigo Orozco‘s glove.

Wright and Bruce went back-to-back in their second at bats…back-to-back strike outs that is.

Wright popped up to third base to end the fifth.

Bruce, leading off in the sixth, grounded out to shortstop Kevin Smith, and Wright repeated the same result in the seventh.

After his fourth at bat, David Wright was lifted for Blake Tiberi.

Bruce played the full game, going 0-for-4 with two strike outs. Wright went 0-for-4 with one strike out.
