Good morning, Mets fans!
The Mets once again got roughed up by the A’s on Saturday. After the worst outing of Koda Senga’s career, the A’s defeated the Mets 11-6 as New York dropped its fourth straight game.
On a positive note from the matchup, Craig Kimbrel made his Mets debut on Saturday after being called up from Single-A St. Lucie (as first reported by Jon Heyman of the New York Post). Kimbrel pitched one scoreless inning and struck out two.
The Athletics and Mets will conclude their series on Sunday as the Mets look to avoid the sweep. Right-handed pitcher Aaron Civale (1-0, 2.70 ERA, 9 SO) will take the mound for the A’s against Mets ace Freddy Peralta (1-0, 4.80 ERA, 19 SO). First pitch is scheduled for 1:40 p.m. ET.
