Good morning from Port St. Lucie, Mets fans.
After electing free agency in October, Adam Ottavino is back on the move. According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, Ottavino has agreed to a deal with the Red Sox that includes an invite to major league spring training camp.
Ottavino posted a 3.14 ERA in three years with the Mets.

Mets owner Steve Cohen was down here in PSL on Tuesday and spoke with the media. He talked about how he was concerned with attendance numbers and more in 2024. Sean Kenny recapped Cohen’s comments from his presser on Tuesday.
According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, Jose Quintana did express wanting to return to New York during the offseason. However, with the Mets picking up Frankie Montas, Clay Holmes and Griffin Canning, out of free agency, it doesn’t appear the Mets are pursuing a reunion with Quintana, who is still available on the market. Montas is now down with a grade three lat strain, so the Mets could be in the market for another arm.
Along that note, per Mike Mayer of Metsmerized Online, Quintana has been announced as the Game 1 starter for Team Colombia in the World Baseball Classic qualifiers. He will pitch March 2 against Brazil.
Evan Drellich of The Athletic reported that the SNY today is launching a direct-to-consumer streaming service through which Mets fans can watch the team in market without a TV bundle. The Mets become the 22nd team with this option making it nine more teams than last year and two thirds on MLB in total.

Joe Buck is back. For the first time since 2021, Buck will join Joe Girardi and Bill Schroeder to call the opening day game between the Yankees and Brewers on Thursday, March 27 at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN. ESPN PR made the announcement on Tuesday.
According to Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. told reporters on Tuesday in Dunedin that he and the Blue Jays did not reach an agreement on an extension. The two were in disagreement on numbers and with that, Guerrero Jr. will elect to choose free agency in 2026.
