The Mets plan to start the second half with Marcus Stroman on the mound per Mike Puma of the New York Post.

New York opens a three-game series against Pittsburgh on Friday at PNC Park. Stroman pitched Game 1 of the Mets and Pirates doubleheader on Saturday, July 10. Stroman took the loss, allowing three runs in five innings.

The Mets haven’t committed to a day for Jacob deGrom. The ace ended his first half on July 7 with seven innings against the Milwaukee Brewers. deGrom skipped the All-Star Game. He is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, per Puma.

Taijuan Walker is the possible starter for Saturday depending on his recovery from his first career All-Star appearance. Walker pitched one inning in the exhibition Tuesday night.
