Good morning, Mets fans!
The Mets lost to the Nationals on Thursday, bringing their spring training record to 7-7. However, Edwin Diaz turned in another good outing, pitching a scoreless inning to bring his total to four scoreless innings and six strikeouts on the young spring.
“I feel really happy,” Diaz said, as reported by MMO’s own John Flanigan. “I feel really confident out there on the mound.”
The Mets will take on the Cardinals today at 1:10 p.m. with Taijuan Walker on the mound.
Thursday was pretty light in terms of news, but let’s get into the morning briefing.
