Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the New York Mets have traded infielder Asdrubal Cabrera to the Philadelphia Phillies for right-handed starting pitching prospect Franklyn Kilome.

The deal is still pending physicals. James Wagner of The New York Times reports that it’s a straight up deal with no money included in the deal.

Cabrera is hitting .277/.329/.488, .349 wOBA, 122 wRC+ on the year and will be a free agent after the season.

Kilome, 23, was the Phillies No. 10 prospect according to MLB Pipeline and they had this to say about him, “Pure stuff-wise, Kilom√© is as good as just about any pitching prospect in system.”

Baseball Prospectus had Kilome ranked as their No. 68 MLB prospect going into the season and Fangraphs recently ranked him No. 129.

The right-hander was on the the 40-man roster for the Phillies so he will slide into Cabrera’s 40-man spot with the Mets.
