It’s happening! It’s happening! Francisco Lindor is hitting above .200!

The star shortstop, off to a slow start, found his groove and slugged two home runs in Wednesday afternoon’s game against the Giants. He powered the Mets to an 8-2 win and ended the team’s three-game skid. Both home runs came as a left-handed hitter, the side he had been really struggling with before Wednesday.

Let it be known… no one, NO ONE, beats the Mets four games in a row… more than once in a season.

After starting his day with a two-out single in the first, Lindor stepped up to the plate in the third and crushed a two-run home run to give the Mets the lead. The ball just cleared the Levi’s sign in right field at 102.6 MPH off the bat.

Lindor picked up another hit in the seventh, poking a single through the hole on the left side.

With the Mets comfortably in the lead in the ninth inning, Lindor put the barrel to the ball again, mashing another two-run home run over the right field wall, settling 400 feet from home plate. This full-count blast left the bat at 105.8 MPH.

With his four-hit performance, Lindor successfully upped his season OPS from .538 to .652, a daily rise of .114! Plus, his xBA is up to .254, over .50 points higher than his current average.

Lindor’s field day at the plate came with high praise from fans and teammates.

“That man’s a dawg. He rakes,” said teammate Tyrone Taylor, who also had a nice day at the dish, picking up two more hits and three RBIs.

While Lindor is happy with the performance, he and the team still feel that they are not yet where they want to be or where they should be.

“You gotta take it day-by-day. You can’t get too ahead of yourself,” Lindor said. “Yea, I had a good day today, I’ll just enjoy it for a little bit, get on the flight, and go enjoy it with my girls. I said it a lot last year and I’m in the same boat this year, it’s an uphill fight – I just gotta climb the mountain.”
