Francisco Lindor homered twice, Tyrone Taylor homered and doubled and Sean Manaea walked the tightrope as the New York Mets (13-11) beat the San Francisco Giants (12-14) 8-2 at Oracle Park to snap a three-game losing streak and finish their six-game West Coast trip at 3-3.

The bats were a welcome sight for the Mets after scoring a total of three runs in their past three games. Lindor ended the trip the same way he started it: with a tie-breaking two-run home run. His shot to right in the third broke a scoreless tie. Last Friday night in Los Angeles, Lindor broke a 4-4 tie in a victory over the Dodgers.

Taylor added a solo homer in the fourth and a two-out, two-run double in the fifth. Jeff McNeil singled in Taylor to make it 6-0. Lindor added a second two-run blast in the ninth to raise his batting average above .200.

New York pitchers entered the game leading the National League with 4.4 walks per 9 innings and Manaea continued that troubling trend. He allowed a single and two walks to load the bases with nobody out in the second inning. But he got Thairo Estrada and Tyler Fitzgerald on popouts and Nick Ahmed to fly to center on a 3-1 count to escape unscathed.

He flirted with trouble again in the third, walking the first two batters. But he picked Austin Slater off second, fanned Michael Conforto, and got Jorge Soler to pop out.

Manaea went 4 2/3 scoreless innings, struck out six, walked four, gave up four hits, and threw a season-high 101 pitches. He appeared upset when Carlos Mendoza pulled him one out short of qualifying for a win. Reed Garrett (4-0, 0.71) came on with two on and two out in the fifth and got Soler to pop out again. The Giants were 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Fitzgerald homered in the seventh for the first earned run off Garrett this season.

Taylor’s shot were off reliever Sean Hjelle, who entered in the second as the Giants went to a bullpen game when scheduled starter Blake Snell was scratched and placed on the injured list with a left abductor strain. The Giants used seven pitchers in all.

Adam Ottavino pitched 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. Edwin Díaz gave up an unearned run in the ninth.
