Morning Briefing: Matz Looks to End Series on High Note

Good Morning Mets Fans!!

The Mets will finally have an early game today as they’ll face off against the Rockies at 3:10 P.M. Steven Matz (3-4,3.31 ERA) will matchup against southpaw, Kyle Freeland (6-6, 3.59 ERA).

Glass Half-Full Mentality: The Mets can actually score runs. Their offense has perked up throughout the Colorado series as they have scored 28 runs throughout their last three games.

Glass Half-Empty Mentality: We can’t pitch. Although the defense permitted three runs to score last night, the Mets pitching allowed seven more runs and has been primarily ineffective throughout the series. In yesterday’s contest, every-time the Mets had the lead, their bullpen quickly gave it right back.
