According to Mets general manager Sandy Alderson, right-hander Noah Syndergaard is in New York and will receive a second opinion on his strained right index finger.
The Mets feel that they don’t have someone to replace Jose Reyes, and in order to unload him, they would need to find someone.
Alderson acknowledged the team’s recent struggles and said he takes full responsibility for where they are at.
