Syndergaard Works One Inning For GCL Mets

Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard tossed one inning for the Gulf Coast League Mets on Saturday in his first rehab start.

Syndergaard, 25, is working his way back from a partially torn lat that he sustained in late April. He allowed two unearned runs and struck out two in his lone inning of work.

New York’s ace figures to pitch in a handful of games for the big league team by the end of the season.
