Morning Briefing: Stop the Pain

This afternoon, the Mets will finish up their series in Miami against the Marlins. Rafael Montero will take on Jose Urena at 1:10 p.m.

Yesterday, the Mets blew a 4-1 lead in the ninth. AJ Ramos struggled in the inning and it was his first blown save since becoming a Met. Travis d’Arnaud and Jose Reyes both had good games at the plate while Brandon Nimmo got on base two more times.

Major League Baseball set a record yesterday for the most home runs in a single season.
