Morning Briefing: Mets Fall 20 Games Below .500

The Mets will take on the Atlanta Braves tonight at 7:10 p.m. Current Ace, Jacob deGrom will take on former Mets ace, R.A. Dickey.

Last night, the Mets offense could not manage much success against the Braves pitchers. Rafael Montero imploded in the fifth after four solid innings. The bullpen held the Braves scoreless the rest of the way, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory.

Noah Syndergaard may return this weekend, but the Mets will likely ease him back in. Regardless, it will be good to see the blonde-haired man they call Thor back on the mound. He has been sorely missed since being sidelined at the end of April.

Amed Rosario and Travis d’Arnaud are available to play, though they are both dealing with minor injuries.
