Good morning, Mets fans!
New York will be going for its fifth win in a row and a sweep against the Oakland Athletics as Rafael Montero toes the rubber and will face Daniel Gossett. The game will be aired on WPIX at 1:10 p.m.
Last night, the Mets won in a thriller. They trailed 5-0 going into the sixth inning as Zack Wheeler allowed five run in five innings of work.
However, in the sixth the Mets put up a four-spot fueled by Wilmer Flores, Jay Bruce and company. The Mets tied the game in the eighth on a pinch-hit RBI single from Lucas Duda.
Flores hit a walk-off home run in the ninth inning against Simon Castro to give the Mets a 6-5 victory. Hansel Robles, believe it or not, recorded his sixth victory of the season.
