7/5 Minor League Report! NIESE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buffalo 5, Rochester 9, Game 1 Tobi Stoner’s had 4 starts in AAA since posting a 2.68 era in AA, and of them, 2 have been quality, and only one has been really good. 7/2 Minor League Report! BOWMAN, WILMER, COHOON!

Binghamton 1, New Hampshire 12 Every pitcher for the Mets gave up runs, with Brad Holt giving up the first 4 to take his 2nd EL loss. It just got uglier after he left the game. The offense had 10 hits and drew 4 walks, but went just 1 for 10 with RISP, in scoring a single run. The Mets left 9 on base, with 4 players taking 0-fers, Ike Davis (0 for 4, K, [...]

Let’s All Forget About June

Alright the Mets finished June with a 9-18 record, more injuries, more sloppy play, and they dropped below .500. June also, included an unforgettable dropped pop-up and losing 5 of 6 to the Yankees. Now all Mets fans have to try their hardest to forget about last month and look forward to what July has in store. The month of July started out on a positive note with the Big Pelf throwing a gem, resulting in a [...]

We’re “This Close” To Blowing The Whole Thing Up

Sometimes desperate times make us think desperate thoughts.  Last night as I watched Johan Santana serve up a change-up to Ryan Braun that, frankly, I could have hit, and then watch the ball and a bunch of Brewers bounce all over the field and across the plate four times, my disbelief turned into realism.  I started to think, is Santana the ace he was in April and May or is this worst stretch of his [...]

2009 Season: Omar’s Plan Went Bust

When we look back at the 2009 Met season, we will remember it as the year of injuries. The amount of injuries to hit this ballclub before the All Star Break is simply incredible. Met fans, the press, and Gary Cohen are all imploring G.M. Omar Minaya to make some sort of deal. I am against the Mets making a deal. At least right now. The reason is simple, there are just so many holes [...]

Buffalo 3, Charlotte 4 Jon Niese had a GREAT outing today, he gave up just 3 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits over 8 innings, his longest outing of the year. He had his new 2 seamer working, as he generated 14 of his 24 outs via the groundball, and ran his ERA under 5, at 4.85. Brandon Knight allowed an UER to take the loss, his 8th. dh Cory Sullivan 0 for 3, run, [...]

Is The Mets Organization Falling Apart?

It seems to me that the Mets are in a lot of trouble.  I’m not talking about the fact that the Mets are now in 3rd place and are now under .500.  I’m talking about the 9 baseball players that are currently on the disabled list or that their salaries equal almost 70 million dollars.  The organization itself seems to be in disarray. The organization from top to bottom seem to be throwing each other [...]
