Following his heroic game-winning tip-in during Game 4 of the NBA Finals, OG Anunoby received an invite from the Mets and José Reyes to throw out a first pitch at Citi Field. Reyes posted on X to officially extend an invitation to Anunoby, who has become a Knicks legend as they stand one win away from an NBA championship.

Latest Mets News

The Mets (31-38) defeated the Braves (45-24) 7-5 on Friday night. Bo Bichette starred with two homers, including a grand slam, and six RBIs, while Juan Soto added a home run of his own.

The Mets will try to clinch the series Saturday at 4:10 p.m. ET.

Francisco Lindor took live at-bats and simulated multiple innings on defense on Friday in his latest steps to return to the Mets. Lindor may still need to take a rehab assignment, but this work could limit the length of one. Lindor is expected to return to the Mets by, at the latest, the end of the month.

Carlos Mendoza provided more injury news including that Kodai Senga will likely make another rehab assignment in the minors while Jorge Polanco could be DHing in the minors after a recent setback from his rehab. Luis Robert Jr. is also throwing and hitting in the cages but not running on the field yet.
