Daviel Hurtado threw five scoreless innings Friday in High-A Brooklyn’s 13-4 rout of Frederick. The 21-year-old Cuban lefty has allowed one earned run in 18 innings with the Cyclones. He has struck out 28 and walked four in 27 innings combined at Brooklyn and St. Lucie. The Mets signed Hurtado to a $640,000 bonus in international free agency in January 2023.

Parada was promoted from Binghamton despite posting a .523 OPS in 29 games there and has flourished at Syracuse ever since. He’s 16-for-44 (.364 batting average) in 15 games. The 24-year-old was a first-round pick (11th overall) in 2022.

This was Yan’s Syracuse debut after he struck out 45 in 26 2/3 innings at Binghamton while pitching to a 3.71 ERA. He plays with passion.

This was the third time in 12 starts that Santucci, 23, allowed three earned runs or more. He has struck out 68 and walked 29 in 56 2/3 innings. He is the No. 8 Mets prospect on MLB Pipeline, the third-ranked pitcher behind Jonah Tong and Jack Wenninger.
