Morning Briefing: Kipnis Off The Table

Good morning Mets fans! Unfortunately, it appears a couple of second base options might no longer be options to appear in orange-and-blue next season.

According to Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com, the Indians will keep Jason Kipnis and stick him at second base. Kipnis was said to be a Mets target but appears the Indians have changed course. The Mets may have altered their plans too, hence the reported interest in Todd Frazier and Mike Moustakas.

Mickey Callaway is a big fan of the Mets pitchers and is very optimistic heading into 2018. Callaway also said he’s very happy with Matt Harvey‘s offseason routine.

John Harper of the Daily News examines which splash would look better, Mike Moustakas or Andrew McCutchen. I am not a huge fan of either, but I would rather have Moustakas due to the positional need and the lack of prospect cost.
