Mets Sign RHP Miguel Socolovich To Minors Deal

The Mets announced they have signed 27-year old righthander Miguel Socolovich to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training.

Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal tweets, meet the newest Met: Miguel Socolovich. He’s a 27-year-old Venezuelan who put up a 6.06 ERA in 12 games for Baltimore and Chicago in 2012.

Kristie Ackert of the Daily News adds that he also pitched in 11 games with Hiroshima of the Japan Central League, 0-2 with a 0.79 ERA.
