I complain a bit too much about some of the promotions the Mets do or don’t do. Nowhere near as much as our friends at Mets Police, but I do give them a good rip from time to time. But sometimes, the Mets do hit it out of the park, and this latest promotion does just that. Read on…


Root for Mets All-Star David Wright in the Chevrolet Home Run Derby this Monday at 8 p.m. on ESPN and score big savings when the Mets play the Phillies July 19-21 at Citi Field.

The better David finishes, the greater percentage off tickets you’ll receive:

There’s no telling where David Wright finishes, but even if he comes in at 4th or 5th place, that’s a great savings for fans who want to go see the Mets play one of their division rivals, who by the way they are trying to catch in the standings.

I love the tie-in to the HR Derby as well as giving Met fans a great incentive to root hard for our captain in the HR Derby and to have a chance to get some great tickets at some great prices.
