Mets All Set To Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day At Tradition Field
As the Mets get set to take on the Braves in today’s St. Patty’s Day Sunday matinee at Tradition Field, it will be quite easy to get into the holiday spirit.

How cool are these?! The Amazin’s will be running across “Luck Of The Irish” bases today. Normally I would say it’s bad luck to be stepping on four-leaf clovers, but in this case I’ll make an exception.
I woke up craving Lucky Charms and feeling the need to watch “The Boondocks Saints”. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! twitter.com/jeremy_hefner5…

Jeremy Hefner certainly getting into the St. Patty’s Day spirit! He gives us a view of those slick green and orange jerseys. Am I the only one who really wants one of those caps?
Regis Philbin throws a first pitch strike! twitter.com/Mets/status/31…

Regis Philbin, a fellow Irishman, delivers a strike on the ceremonial first pitch. I guess he’s had some time to work on his fastball since retiring from Live with Regis Michael and Kelly!

Then of course there is our resident boyo Daniel Murphy who is not in the starting lineup today, but thanks to some Luck of the Irish, he’ll be ready to go for Opening Day, where we will hear some Dropkick Murphys echo through Citi Field as he steps up to the plate. I’ll be sure to play a few of the Murphys song just for number 28 during my overnight DJ shift tonight! I’m sure he’ll be listening.
We here at MMO wish you all a very Happy St. Patty’s Day! I’m green with envy at those fans who get to attend today’s ballgame, what a great way to spend St. Patrick’s Day! What is everyone’s plans for this holiday?

I thought Dale Murphy would be on the list of top ten Irish-American players
Me too. They did say “random” though.
Oh I forgot and the blog forgot the Fordham Flash
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankie_Frisch
I thought he was a German
Yes my link says so. The Fordham Flash not being Irish is a oxymoron I thought.
Matt Diaz was released?
Yeah, the Yanks cut him loose, but to be honest, he hasn’t looked all that good in ST. Did you hear about Craig Gentry potentially being on the move? I’d look into him if I’m the Mets. Last season, he hit almost .400 against LHP (.374 to be precise).
A1 defensive alignment today … Mets flashing the leather.
Happy St Pats day everyone….
This is the day we irish have reserved for the rest of you to get arrested for Drunken and Disorderly!
Enjoy it and we will be back to take over tomorrow! LOL
Have a designated driver or at least a four leaf clover.

Actually a PBA or Emerald Society card works better than a Clover! LOL
Heh. Glad I wasn’t the only one craving for Lucky Charms today
Now I feel the need to get myself a Shamrock shake at McDonalds
must be killing murphy to miss playing in those uniforms.
is he the only Irish heritage guy on the team?
