Bobby V Has A New Gig

bobby valentineAccording to the Huffington Post, former Mets and Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine will work as a commentator for NBC Sports Radio.

He will be the part-time co-host of a weekday talk show that debuts in April. Starting this month, he will also periodically provide analysis to NBC Sports Radio shows and affiliated stations.

Valentine was fired in October after just one season in Boston, when the Red Sox went 69-93.

His colorful no holds barred style should play well on radio.

Good luck, Bobby.

  • LOL, considering their top actual TV sports broadcast was a fishing show:

    • a fishing show would have more excitement than our 2013 season

Mets Fifth Starter Stuff: Carl Pavano’s agent says discussions with the Mets are still “very preliminary,” but there’s mutual interest.

    • Me and my ex once had mutual interest, but unfortunately things didn’t work out. :-)

      • Ha! That is one story I have heard quite often. You should have a chat with a gentleman that goes by the name of Gategem over at RDM. He has quite the stories when it comes to this area.

      • Joe, Never break out the BDSM toys until after the 10th date you should know that! LOL

    • Good God no…

  • I have never heard of NBC sports radio, is that available in NY?

  • I guess ESPN isn’t rushing to get him back….

  • I would watch Bobby V. and Harold Reynolds when they were on Baseball Tonight. He is the . A great baseball guy. When he was still managing the Mets I went to Atlanta to see a game. Bobby Cox was intimidating the umps like he always did and as soon as the Mets came to bat he jumped out of the dugout and gave the umps a mouthful. He didn’t get tossed but he stood up for his players and got respect. I miss him on the field. Best baseball analyst in the business today.
