Chris Young On Mound As Mets Try To Take Series Against Braves

Last night Jon Niese had an excellent performance and was supported by some clutch hitting by Lucas Duda. Tonight Chris Young tries to keep it going. On the season he has pitched 19 games over 109.0 innings with an ERA of 4.21. In his last four starts he has pitched 23.2 innings allowing 8 runs, 7 earned, which is a 2.66 ERA while striking out 17 batters. In his two games against the Braves this year he has allowed 7 ER over 9 innings. The Braves have the following numbers against Chris:

  • 2 things: #1. I enjoyed reading today’s starting “Limeup.” and #2. It’s going to be difficult to spoil their postseason aspirations since the Braves have already clinched a playoff spot.

    • they can at least guarantee no miracle run to the division title, and having to be in the WC “play in” game.

      • I guess you’re right…I mean, what are the chances the Nats win 1 out of their remaining 5 games to win the division.
