Glad to see Muno & Ceciliani going to the AFL especially Ceciliani.
makes sense. Darrell raked while he was playing, just did not get enough PT this year, so a fall (maybe winter too after that) stint can help catch him up.
Cecilliani had four stints on the DL, he just couldn’t stay on the field this season. This playing time in AFL will help his development too as he needs to accumulate at-bats before moving up.
Off Topic: Just saw the new MLB promotion called “Expressed Written Consent” where they bring in these celebrities to call an inning I think of a game. The Yankees have Nick Turturro who was a funny guy to listen to. The Mets? We get Snooki. sigh…
Like what is Seinfeld too busy?
Well, consider that whoever b
Reese Havens shouldve gone as well
He would of been a good choice as well though I think with Havens this season was good in the sense he has a chance to match his most games played in a season (97) since 2009. The Mets may not want to push him any further by risking injury with him in the AFL.
Could be worse, Jersey. It could’ve been your governor.
How come none of our top prospects are going? Isn’t this what the AFL is for? I dont mean to sound negative about these seven, but what about Nimmo, Flores or Plawecki or Cecchini? Shouldn’t they be the ones we are showcasing?
Flores plays in Venezuela in the winter. The other guys will probably play in AFL once they get to full season A ball.
