Mets Lower Minors: Nimmo Goes Deep, Brooklyn Blown Out

The scheduled Florida State League game between the St. Lucie Mets and Charlotte Stone Crabs on Sunday, August 26 at Digital Domain Park has been postponed due to inclement weather. At this time, the game will not be re-scheduled. The Mets host the Bradenton Marauders in their final regular season home game at 6:30 p.m. (Hope everybody gets out of there safe without any damage from the tropical storm.)

The Savannah Mets could not muster enough offense to back up Marcos Camarena, who pitched well.

The Brookyn Cyclones got a taste of their own medicine on Sunday after blowing out the Yankees the night before.

Three more errors for Kingsport lead to two unearned runs en route to a defeat at the hands of the Pulaski Mariners.

Special Notes: The Kingsport Mets have now committed 113 errors, the worst in the Appy league. The Kingsport Mets end their season after two more games with the Pulaski Mariners.

Nimmo really starting to look like a good player. Just keeps improving, and more than holding his own with the older guys.
Will certainly be interesting to see how he handles moving up to a higher level, and if he can perform well enough to hit 2 in a year (say, start in Savannah, finish in St Lucie).
