  people are idiots, particularly the guy burning his Reyes shirt…Mets didn’t want to spend market value to keep the best positional player that their farm system ever developed; so let’s blame the guy that did what any other player would have done…

  When Pedro Martinez signed with the Phillies, my friends and I took one of our friends’ Martinez Mets jersey and burned it, to hopefully put a hex on Pedro, not because of him, but because of the team he chose. Memory serves me right, the hex didn’t work at all.

    Joe D, I remember a guy named Jimmy. I don’t remember where he came from. He had a lot of strong opinions. He was the guy who said he owned a business and who also said he had a business degree. We had lots of different opinions. I hope all is going OK for him.
