Jose Reyes Goes Up In Flames…

Here’s one Mets fan who found a very unorthodox way to vent his anger over how the Jose Reyes situation played out:

Well that’s one way to get over your Reyes to the Marlins doldrums…

Honestly, there’s no need to blame Reyes here just as much as there was no reason for Astros fans to blame Carlos Beltran for signing with the Mets in 2005. That’s just the business of baseball, plain and simple.

Hat tip to NBC Sports.

  • people are idiots, particularly the guy burning his Reyes shirt…Mets didn’t want to spend market value to keep the best positional player that their farm system ever developed; so let’s blame the guy that did what any other player would have done…

    • the best positional player the Mets farm ever developed was Darryl Strawberry no one else comes close.

  • “Hope you break your legs in Miami”

    Stay classy dude… Idiot

  • When Pedro Martinez signed with the Phillies, my friends and I took one of our friends’ Martinez Mets jersey and burned it, to hopefully put a hex on Pedro, not because of him, but because of the team he chose. Memory serves me right, the hex didn’t work at all.

    • lol, that’s hilarious. :-D

  • The guy’s a total idiot and to say what he said at the end makes him an ass**** as well.

  • Jose who? Yesterday’s player. It’s just baseball life.

  • Isn’t there anything more important to report on than a guy burning his Reyes shirt?

    • yeah dont you have some tragically poor analysis of something ready for us?

      • You’re my living proof that I don’t censor comments or ban people who disagree with me. Since 2009 you’ve left 763 comments here and I’d say 98% of them were all to bash me for something I wrote. Unfortunately the Joe D. you snarked at tonight, was not I. You owe me one.

        • Guess I’ll modify my name so not to cause any confusion in the future. :)

Sorry about that Joe D. the First.

        • 98%? please. most of them were francouer related. stop writing yourself into every story.

      • Martin, with your style I bet you have a job in public relations. lol

    • No, MetsBlog posted all the good stuff already. You can read about Ronny Cedeno and Jack Wilson over there. Nothing here but posts about arsonists and vampires or sumthin…

      • arsonists and vampires? This site sucks. Oh wait, what am I saying? I haven’t received my book yet. What I meant to say was vampires suck.
        ;-)

  • Do you guys remember Jimmy from the Bronx? The big Omar fan? He just wrote me and sends his regards. Jimmmy, do you know what a hossa is?

    • Joe D, I remember a guy named Jimmy. I don’t remember where he came from. He had a lot of strong opinions. He was the guy who said he owned a business and who also said he had a business degree. We had lots of different opinions. I hope all is going OK for him.

  • Off Topic: Nothing worse than turning on the radio to listen to football game and here the announcer say the Cowboys are winning 27-0. Which is then followed by a click as the radio is turned off. Back to the internet I suppose. What’s new on Netflix I wonder?

  • What a bunch of morons……I guess that if you got a substantially better offer to work elsewhere that you would refuse to take it because of the loyal people who admired your work enough to burn your uniform and wish you harm…..

    GROW UP……THIS WAS BUSINESS

  • This ‘fan’ is an idiot. I think I was 10 when I realized that baseball is a business.

“I hope you break your leg in Miami.”

“I hope the wind picks up and a spark sets your house on fire.”
