Reyes Passes Rollins, Still Trails Tulo In All Star Voting
Jose Reyes passed Philadelphia’s Jimmy Rollins in All-Star voting, but still trails Colorado shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.
The Daily News, also shares a short exchange with Reyes who is clearly interested in the All Star voting results.
“Really, I’m in second now?” he said, when informed of the latest voting. “How far behind?”
About 600,000 votes, he was told. (Tulowitzki has 1,828,509, Reyes 1,241,553 and Rollins 999,537.)
“Oh man,” he said, shaking his head.
“So this really matters to you?”
“Yeah, yeah it matters,” he said, eyes widening and head nodding.
Jose Reyes does deserve to start, and we can help him by voting up to 25 times for him here.

fans shouldn’t be allowed to vote, i think players should, how can utley be 3rd with liuke 5 games played? tulo ahead of reyes?? really????
how can guys like victorino, wright, uggla can even be on this lists?? freeman ahead of ike?? lol, this is an embarrasment, if it “MATTERS” as they say why not let the players pick the players? also, the manager gets to make the lineup, not the fans by voting for popularity rather than ACTUAL game ball player, i mean, if tulo wins the starting nod, bruce bochy won’t have the option to use the BEST LEADOFF in the game up until maybe the 5th or 6th inning.. this is a f*ing joke
old worn out commentary…complaining for no reason, ignoring the fact that when players voted they also turned it into a popularity contest voting for over the hill formerly great players like Mays and Mantle long after the star years were over. And all your passion for an exhibition game… sad sad sad…..
In the Chicago Voting style, I urge everyone to think long & hard about Electronic addresses, they’ve allowed to pass into oblivian because they may have forgotten the password or had the account superceded by another more oertinent to job or school. for instance my college attending son had an account set up on our home access through AOL in elementary scghool, it fell into disfavor due to Scholl Board INSISTANCE UPON A UNIVERSAL YAHOO ACCOUNT THEY USED. AS TIME PROGRESSED THE AOL ACCOUNT’S PASSWORD WAS FORGOTTEN & IT FELL INTO ABANDONMENT; BUT WAS STILL IN EXISTANCE. HIS MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL YAHOO ACCOUNT FOLLOWED SUIT AS HE PRINMARILY USED HIS COLLEGE CREATED ACCOUNT. AS MY SPOUSE TYPICALLY IGNORES PARTICIPATION IN ALLSTAR VOTING, I’VE TAKEN ADVANTAGE BY VOTING ALL 3 ACCOUNTS TO THE MAX ALONG WITH MINE GIVING ME 100 REYES VOTES TO ADD. I BEHOOVE ALL OF YOU TO CONSIDER FOLLOWING SUIT AS PRACTICABLE.
If nothing else, Alderson should back a team sponsored campaign backing Jose’s selection as the starting SS, if for no other reason than to curry favor with their player despite the $50K bonus due him f selected. potentially an excellent investment from these proven unwise investors named Wilpon. a measly 50K investment may provide Millions in savings represented by a hometown discount Reyes may believe his ensuing gratitude should allow.
Hey I did my civic duty and voted 25 times and got my coworker to do it too and she dont even follow baseball!
guess to say you’re very “persuasive” lol.. alex68 approves this msg gina
I’ve found that you can vote MORE than 25 times per day online, even w/ the same e-mail account. If you vote 25 times, go away from the site and come back it will allow you to vote 25 more times w/ the same account. If you have more e-mail accounts, even better. I’ve been voting at least 50-75 times per day when I have the chance. I’ve even been leaving the NL 2B ballot empty and putting Justin Turner’s name in as a write in. It’s a shame that Jose is 2nd in voting. I guess all the empty seats at Citi Field mean a whole lot fewer ballots being filled out at the ‘ol ballpark which has hurt Jose and Carlos Beltran, who is also deserving, IMO. What a shame that the Wilpon’s mess has at least indirectly caused deserving All Star players votes.
