AAA International League: Buffalo 11/11/1, Columbus 4/11/1

The Bisons used 2 in the 7th to close to within 4-2, then exploded for a 9 run 8th to take the lead and simultaneously put the game away. Kirk Nieuwenhuis had a double and walk in his AAA debut, while Justin Turner, Lucas Duda and Luis Hernandez had multi hit games. Nick Evans took the only 0-fer. The Bisons had 11 hits and a 4/8 BB/K ratio, while going 5 for 10 with RISP and leaving 6 on base. Pat Misch was shaky tonight, giving up 4 runs on 10 hits in 6.2 innings, but Jose De La Torre picked up the win with 1.1 scoreless innings.

Chris Schwinden got ripped for 5 runs on 10 hits in 4 innings for his 7th EL loss of the season, as the depleted Mets got clobbered 7-1. The BMets had one legit prospect and 3 semi-prospects in the lineup tonight, they could really use Eric Campbell (soon) and Reese Havens (prolly not) back. Zach Lutz presumably got the day off.

The Mets rallied from 8-3 down with 5 in the 9th to tie the game, with Joey August hitting the game tying 3 run HR, only to see Brant Rustich give up an UER in the bottom of the 11th to lose the game. Pedro Zapata, Mike Moras and Rafael Fernandez had multi hit games, while Michael Fisher (0 for 5, K, .192) took the only 0-fer. The Mets had 14 hits and a 2/12 BB/K ratio, while going 4 for 9 with RISP and leaving 9 on base. Brandon Moore got wrecked for 7 runs on 9 hits in 3.1 innings, but the offense bailed him out.

Eduardo Aldama had a decent outing, giving up 4 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits in 6 innings. Hunter Carnevale picked up the win with a scoreless top of the 8th.
