Pat Misch had an outstanding outing tonight, and it may turn out to be extremely crucial, with the … scary gun readings and slow windup/delievery of John Maine today in Washington. Misch went 7, allowing a run on 3 hits and 4 strikeouts for his 4th win of the season. Ryota Igarashi threw a scoreless 8th on 19 pitches, continuing his rehab.

Josh Thole and Ruben Tejada both had multi hit games for the Bisons today, Thole vaulting back over the Mendoza line, and Tejada approaching .300.

Eddie Kunz had a very rocky outing today, giving up 5 runs (4 earned) on 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings for his 3rd loss, though it was Josh Stinson who gave up 2 of Kunz’ IHR to take a BS.

The Mets offense had 7 hits and a walk, while going 3 for 10 with RISP, leaving 4 on base, and striking out just 5 times. Nick Evans and Zach Lutz took 0-fers, no Met had a multi hit game.

Sean Ratliff, Stefan Welch and Richard Lucas (game tying HR in the 9th) had multi hit games, while Wilfredo Tovar, Eric Campbell, Raul Reyes (0 for 4, BB, 3 Ks, .202) and Rylan Sandoval (0 for 4, 3 Ks, .214) all took 0-fers.

The Gnats also drew a walk (Pedro Zapata), while going 3 for 5 with RISP, leaving 3 on base, and striking out 8 times. Darin Gorski pitched well, but got a ND, Taylor Whitenton blew the save and picked up the win, his 2nd.
