Mets Recall Up Nick Evans And Pat Misch
With two roster spots open after Wagner was dealt to the Red Sox earlier today and Santana having season ending surgery, Mets have recalled up LF Nick Evans and LHP Pat Misch.
Nick Evans played for the Mets earlier this season after Fernando Martinez got injured.
Nick Evans is batting .250 with 1 homerun and 6 RBIs.
Pat Misch was recently sent down after activating Wagner, but will be called back up.
Misch has a 4.09 ERA in 22.0 innings pitched with 13 strikeouts and 13 walks.
Also Nelson Figueroa will be taking Santana’s spot in the rotation for now.
Figueroa is 1-2 with a 6.30 ERA in 20.0 innings pitched with 15 strikeouts and 8 walks.

I’d like to see Evans play every day, because we have a vested interest in him for the future, and why not?
Also it seems like Figueroa is taking everyone’s turn in the rotation.
I agree. I feel like Evans is an underrated prospect. Last year it was about Murphy, and this year it was about Fernando Martinez. Evans has done a nice job this year and last.
