Eric Niesen had his highest strikeout game in AA, with 10 in 5 innings, including striking out the side in his final inning, picking up his 2nd victory, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits in the process. Connor Robertson pitched a perfect 9th for his 8th save.

The Mets offense gathered 9 hits and 4 walks, while going 3 for 13 (.231) with RISP, leaving 9 on base. Ruben Tejada had his second straight 3 hit game, he and Ike Davis (2) registered multi hit games, while Jose Coronado (0 for 4, run, BB, 3 Ks, .252) and Josh Thole (0 for 4, BB, .341) took 0-fers.

Billy Wagner continued his rehab tonight with a scoreless 5th inning, he allowed a hit and struck out a pair.

Angel Calero had another subpar outing, forcing the bullpen into early action, and that doomed the Mets tonight. Calero lasted just 4 innings, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks. Edgar Ramirez, pushed to pitch 3+ innings, got oblierated in the 9th for 3 runs (5 total for the game), taking the loss. Ramirez had given up just 2 runs in 38 St. Lucie innings prior to tonight.

The Mets offense had 7 hits and 5 walks, while going 4 for 10 with RISP, leaving 7 on base. Zach Lutz (2) had the only multi hit game, while Kirk Nieuwenhuis (0 for 4, K, .250), Carlos Guzman (0 for 3, BB, .263), and Hector Pellot (0 for 3, BB, 2 Ks, .258) took 0-fers.

Jeurys Familia, already well past his previous high in innings pitched, went 5 innings tonight, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits for his 9th win of the season. Rhiner Cruz picked up his 20th save with a hitless 9th.

The Gnats offense generated 7 hits and 2 walks, but were just 1 for 7 (.143) with RISP, and left 5 on base. Josh Satin had a perfect 4 for 4 game, he and Jean Luc Blaquiere (2) had multi hit games, and also homered. Raul Reyes (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .244), Jefry Marte, Wilmer Flores, Evan LeBlanc (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .136), and Jose Jimenez (0 for 4, K, .113) took 0-fers. Jimenez, after lighting up the Appy League two years ago (.309/.379/.521/.900) as a 20 year old, has taken significant steps backwards in the last two seasons.

Justin Garber (2), Sam Honeck (2), and Nick Santomauro (2) each had a multi hit game, Santomauro a perfect game with 2 for 2 and 3 walks.
