According to Jack Curry of YES Network on Twitter, the Yankees have acquired right-hander Sonny Gray from the Oakland Athletics.

In return, the A’s will receive outfielders Dustin Fowler and Jorge Mateo and right-handed pitcher James Kaprielian, per Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports.

The deal has been made official per the A’s on Twitter. The Yankees will also receive $1.5 million in international bonus slot money from Oakland.

Gray, 27, has been one of the most frequently rumored player to be traded prior to the non-waiver deadline and the Yankees have been tied to him for a long time.

The five-year veteran and former All-Star is 6-5 with a 3.43 ERA, 3.24 FIP and 8.7 K/9 in 16 starts for the A’s this year.

While Oakland initially asked for the likes of Clint Frazier or Estevan Florial from the Yankees for Gray, they settled with a nice package of prospects.

MLB Pipeline had Fowler as the Yankees No. 4 prospect, Mateo at No. 8 and Kaprielian at No. 12.
