Did you forget about Tim Tebow? The Mets haven’t.

Mets’ general manager Brodie Van Wagenen told Jon Morosi of MLB Network that Tebow is 100 percent healthy after hamate surgery late this past season. Additionally, Van Wagenen did not rule out the possibility that Tebow could make the Mets’ Opening Day roster, though he’ll likely begin the year with Triple-A Syracuse.

Tebow, 31, signed with the Mets in September, 2016, and has been with the team since. This past season, he spent the whole year with Double-A Binghamton before he went down with an injury and required surgery.

In 84 games for Bingo, he owned a triple slash of .273/.336/.399 with six homers and 36 RBI.

Tebow is sure to get an extended look in Major League Spring Training.

He is a former client of Mets’ GM Brodie Van Wagenen.
