The third time was the charm for Noah Syndergaard as he turned in a strong start, picking up his first win of the season in a game where the Mets defeated the Minnesota Twins by a score of 9-6 in another slugfest.

Syndergaard, 26, pitched seven innings of one0run ball before running into trouble in the eighth inning as the team hoped to avoid a beleaguered bullpen. Noah would be charged with three runs in that inning, putting a small damper on what was otherwise a very good game.

Thor spoke about just how in sync he felt on the mound against Minnesota on Wednesday night.

“Mechanically, I felt probably the best I have felt in a long time.” Syndergaard said. (MLB)

Thor powered himself through the game with a total of 98 pitches thrown, remarkably 71 of those pitches were tossed for strikes. He gave up four runs on just five hits while striking out seven and walking none. Syndergaard was just flat out filthy through the first seven innings of play.

Noah again showed how he has the ability to be one of the top pitchers in the game ton Wednesday as he gave the team a much needed boost after they had dropped their previous two games.
