Tim Healy of Newsday reports that Anthony Swarzak will throw a simulated game today.

The right-handed reliever has been dealing with a left calf strain and has not pitched since the early part of Spring Training.

Swarzak pitched 1.2 innings this spring after signing a two-year deal, $14 million with the Mets this offseason. He has allowed one earned run on two hits, one walk, and two strikeouts.

The 32-year old was a solid reliever last season with the Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers, logging a 2.33 ERA, 2.74 FIP and 1.034 WHIP over 77.1 innings pitched.
