The New York Mets have had some great catchers over the course of their 57 year history. We’ve had some of the best defensive catchers in the game, plenty of catchers who have swung a mighty bat, and even a couple of Hall of Famers.
When offseason free agent acquisition Wilson Ramos takes the field on Opening Day, he will become the 25th Opening Day catcher in Mets history.
