Brandon Nimmo made his second rehab appearance for the St. Lucie Mets today and went 1-for-3 with a walk.

The Cheyenne, Wyoming native also made a diving catch in right field, where he played eight innings today, which was impressive, but certainly made many in the organization nervous considering the injury he went down with.

Nimmo, 25,  has been on the disabled list since August 20 with a bruised left index finger, retroactive to August 17. He injured himself on an awkward swing in Philadelphia a week ago. Nimmo was hitting .265/.387/.503 prior to getting hurt.

The outfielder is now 2-for-6 in his two rehab appearances with two walks and a stolen base. Nimmo will likely return before or on September 1, which is when rosters expand.
