Anthony Dicomo of MLB.com reports that the Mets are planning for Brandon Nimmo to make his Spring Training debut on Tuesday as the team’s designated hitter against the Atlanta Braves.

Nimmo, 25, appeared to be dealing with general soreness in his right shoulder, but yesterday resumed full baseball activities making it likely he would return in the very near future.

The outfielder was a major surprise for the Mets last season as he hit .263/.404/.483 with 17 home runs and 47 RBI to give himself a 149 wRC+, which ranked second in the NL, only behind MVP winner Christian Yelich. Nimmo was also worth a 4.5 fWAR in 2018.
