Good Morning Mets Fans!!
Today, Zack Wheeler(2-2, 5.05 ERA) looks to hit another dinger against the should-have-been Met Gio Gonzalez (0-0, 3.60 ERA) and the Milwaukee Brewers. The game can be viewed on SNY and WCBS 880 at 7:10 P.M.
The Brewers were homer-happy yet again as Lorenzo Cain and Ryan Braun‘s dingers were all the support that Brandon Woodruff needed. The quintet of Woodruff, Alex Claudio, Junior Guerra, and Josh Hader shut down the Mets’ lifeless lineup, only allowing seven hits.
Meanwhile, Steven Matz spent the night pitching himself in-and-out of jams. Although he allowed nine hits, only three runs scored against him.
